Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

Welcome to the Mother's Day Blog Hop!

Thank you Jen for inviting me to participate!

You should've come from Anita's blog, anitaandbugs, then you're on the right track. If not, head on over to Jen's blog, memories with jen, and start from the beginning.

My Mother's Day project is a card for my Mom. Among the many crafty things my Mom does (and she does alot!), she is a master seamstress and also loves to quilt. I scraplifted the idea of the stiching/quilted look on this card from Debbie at DD Crafts. Thanks for the inspiration!

Details:
sewing machine cut from Nifty Fifties, edges inked with gold
(the image reminds me of the old black Singer sewing machines)
cardstock from my stash
various patterned paper from my stash in my Mom's favorite color
machine sewing around all edges to look like it's quilted
sentiment "mom" and "grandma" from Pink By Design "All in the Family" set

I can't wait for my Mom to get this card. I know she's gonna love it!

And I'd like to offer some blog candy for not one, but two people today!

embellishments and clear stamps

Pink By Design "All in the Family" stamp set

All you need to do is be a follower and leave me a comment letting me know how you spent your Mother's day (or National Scrapbooking Day if you didn't celebrate Mother's Day). Also, don't forget to leave a way for me to get ahold of you if you win. I'd hate to have to pick another winner.

Your next stop is Debbie's blog, http://craftydeb-ddscrafts.blogspot.com/.

I'm also entering this card into the Simply Sunday challenge, "Sew Fabulous" at Getting Cricky.

Since today is Mother's Day, I'd like to share with you some pictures of important people.

my Mom

my oldest daughter

my son

my little Princess
