Have seen all the shaker cards being shared on Facebook, Pintrest, and Bloggy Land?  I have and I love them!  I don't know why I waited so long to jump on the sequins train, but I'm glad I did :)

 

Today is my day to share over at the LoveBug Creations blog and I have my first shaker card to share with you.

 

 

Details:

 

Patterned papers are from the DCWV "The Birthday Wishes" stack.

 

The frame was made using the "Stitched Postage Frame Die" by My Creative Time.

 

The Sentiment is from the "Wow So Many Candles" stamp set by My Creative Time.

The confetti pieces are made using the asterisk from the "From The Desk Of..." die set by Taylored Expressions.

 

Foam tape, sequins, acetate, and of course

 

"Green Leaves" Rumple Ribbon

Welcome Back Crafty Friends!

 

I hope you had a great weekend and were able to find a little crafting time.  I'm back to working on projects for not only design teams and blog hops, but also for challenges.  I've also been spending my free time crocheting, and I'll be sharing some of those projects with you soon.

 

This card I made was inspired by last week's freebie svg file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.

Details:

"Scooter" is an svg file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.

 

Patterned paper is from Echo Park, but I can't remember the collection name.

 

Sentiment is from the "Picture This" stamp set by Jaded Blossom

The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Challenge

Another quick post for today to share with you my card that I made for The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Challenge Design Team Call.

 

The Queen provided a digital coloring book image and asked us to color it and submit a project.  Here is what I made:

 

Details:

 

The Pony image was provided by the Queen, and was colored with Copics.

 

The background is dry embossed using a cloud fold from Darcie.

 

The tree is from the "Apple Picking" svg set by Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.

 

I added red sequins as "apples".  The sequins I got from the Royal Castle Shoppe.

 

The sentiment is from the "Cherish the Moment" stamp set by My Creative Time.

Springtime Butterfly

I'm back today to share with you a card I made for some challenges. 

 

I dusted off my Cameo and started playing with some svg files and papers.  Oh how I've missed svg files and paper piecing! 

 

Here is one of the cards that I made:

I made the shape card using the "Adorable Butterfly" svg from SVG Cutting Files.

 

The solid cardstock are from the Brights collection by Stampin! Up, and the patterned papers are from "Snap Color Vibe" 6x6 pad by Simple Stories.

 

The face is from the "In The Garden Face" set by Peachy Keen Stamps.

 

The sentiment is from the "Bug A Boo" stamp set by Jaded Blossom.

Team USA!

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!

 

Have you been watching the Olympics?  Even though the results are out all over social media and the news before we west coasters get to watch any of the events, I still have the tv on at 8pm every night to watch the skiing, skating, snowboarding, and sledding.  I'm not a cold weather person, but I do enjoy watching the athletes put their all there and compete against the best in the world.

 

Today is my day to share over at the Lovebug Creations blog, and I have a Team USA inspired project to share with you.

 

 

Details:

The skate is cut using the "Winter Gazebo" kit from SVG Cuts.  I cut the base out of white and the panels out of blue and red cardstock.  The blue panels I embossed using a tiny star embossing folder.

The "USA" is stamped using the Jaded Blossom "Celebrate America" stamp set.

I added a few sequins for some bling.

And I used some "Simply White" Rumple Ribbon as the laces.

I made this cute light bulb treat for my oldest daughter.  She got straight As in her first semester in college!  I am super proud of her and I just wanted her to know that all the $$ spent on a private University is so totally worth it.  I had no doubt that she would do great :)

For my project I decided to make something non-paper related, a Hello Kitty flower headband for my youngest daughter. Besides crafting with paper, I love to crochet and sew.

Supplies:

Hello Kitty cotton fabric

Kanzashi Flower Maker by Clover

The flower maker makes one petal at a time and is so simple to use.  I made 6 petals and added a red heart button to the center.  Then I attached the flower to the side of the headband.

They also make other styles of flower makers and yo-yo templates also.  I find mine at Hobby Lobby or Michael's, and of course always use a coupon :)

I'm back with another project featuring some newly released Lovebug Creations Rumple Ribbon.

 

Are you getting ready for Valentine's Day?  I've been making a few cards to send to family and planning out treats for my youngest daughter's classmates.

 

Here is one of the cards that I've made.

Pink cardstock is by Stampin Up

Heart and XOXO are cut using My Creative Time "Stitched Sweetheart &XOXO" dies

The dots are stamped with My Creative Time "Puffy Hearts Just For You" stamp using a Versmark ink pad

And the beautiful ribbon is the new "I Love Grunge" Rumple Ribbon
