Birthday Hugs Ballon

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Did you all have a great Holiday weekend?  We had a weekend filled with my son's football Championship game (which they won), an all day fishing trip off the coast of San Diego, and a BBQ to celebrate a friend's birthday.

I am exhausted, be glad we had an extra day of family time, thanks to the brave men and woman of our armed forces.  Thank You!

Today is my day to share over at Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons, and I am sharing a Birthday card I made using the Patriotic Balloon file.

I love how versatile these files are!

I used the Patiotic Balloon cutting file, and by leaving off the top layer with the star cut-outs, and using patterned papers, I made it into a Birthday Balloon.

I used the offset feature and added a 1/4 inch border around the balloon, and then flipped it, and welded it to make it into a shape card.

The papers are from the DCWV "The Sky's the Limit" stack, and the sentiment is from My Creative Time's "Wow So Many Candles" stamp set.

Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by!

"Made in Minutes" with My Creative Time

Happy Monday and Happy Cinco de Mayo Crafty Friends!

Did you have a good weekend?  We had a great weekend with an overnight trip out of town to visit my college kid.  I'll share more at the end of my post.

Today I am excited to share that I am a Guest Designer over at My Creative Time for their "Made in Minutes" segment.  The idea is to create a card/project in 20 minutes or less.  This is made easier to do with Emma's fabulous stamps and dies.  I love my cutting machines, but I also love my dies!  I don't have a lot of space so I find that sometimes it is easier to get out my dies when I am creating.

I made a gift card holder to share with you.

Details:
My Creative Time dies and stamps -
"Embossed Gift Card Holder" die
"Puffy Hearts Just for You" stamp set
"So Grateful for You" stamp set
"Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO" dies
Papers are by Stampin Up - "Baked Brown Sugar" and "Coastal Caribbean"
Peachy Keen PK-1385 "Cartoon Bombshell" Face Assortment
The Twinery "Caribbean" twine
sequins

I love this gift card die!  It has been my go-to when I need to make gift card holders.

Now I'd love to share with you about my weekend.
(Sorry about the blurry/fuzzy pics.  It was sunny and bright out and I took these with my phone.)
This picture just about sums it up!  We had a great day at the track watching my oldest daughter compete for her University in their conference finals.  She made the podium in all 3 of her events, and came in first in 2 of them!  Her relay team is Nationally ranked and is heading to Nationals in 2 weeks.  And she set some new personal records too.  I am a super proud mom and it still makes me smile when I think about it.  She is only a Freshman so there are more great moments like this to come.

Congrats to her and her University of La Verne team mates!!!

Have a great week and Thanks for stopping by!
