Summer Float

Hello Crafty Friends!

Are you enjoying your summer?  I'm still working but I was able to have a long weekend for the 4th of July holiday.  Although short, it was much-needed and well-enjoyed.

Growing up summers also meant having root beer floats!  I loved having them!  (even if I got a stomach ache from too much carbonation and sugar)

Today is my day to share over at the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog and I made this yummy shape card!

So when I saw this cut file, I knew I had to make a shaped card.

I cut an extra 'mug' piece and added it to the back to create a card.

Celebrating with Pink Sneakers!

Happy National Pink Day!

A little bit of information taken from the "National Day Calendar" website:
National Pink Day is celebrated every June 23rd.  This day is set aside for the color pink and all the it represents.

So to celebrate I am wearing pink today! (Usually, "we wear pink on Wednesdays", but today I'll make an exception.) LOL

And, since today is my day to share over at the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog, I have a piece of "pink" home decor to share with you.

Anyone that knows me personally. knows how much I love my Converse shoes.  I have a few pairs and I wear them almost daily.

So here are my pink Chucks that I'm wearing today :)

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Pink Day!

PPPR Totally Awesome 80s Blog Hop

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!

Welcome to the PPPR Totally Awesome 80s Blog Hop!

If you came here from Gloria's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just stumbled upon this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog.

Are you enjoying all the Awesome and Rad projects today?

As you have probably figured out, the theme of today's hop is "Totally Awesome 80's" using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files.

I am an 80s kid and I loved everything about it!  The layered clothes and LA Gear hi-tops, the big hair, the video games, the music (I was in love with Duran Duran), and the TV shows.  I loved it all!

For my project today, I used the hop freebie to make this awesome puzzle cube.  I tried to have it represent what my real cube would have looked like.  I never was able to solve the whole thing!  This is about as far as I could get before I would get frustrated and walk away. LOL

Beachy Summer

Hi Crafty Friends!

Welcome to Summer!  At my house, school is out and all of my kids are home on summer break!  I'm excited to have them all home (especially my college kid), but my oh my... where has the time gone?  I've now got a Junior in College, a Junior in High School, and a 4th grader!  My babies are growing up. *sigh*

With summer brings lots of fun activities and outings (in addition to me still having to go to work... *sigh*).  One of our top things to do is go to the beach more often.  We live only minutes from several so we thought we'd better take advantage of that :)

Today is my day to share over on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog, and I have a beach themed shape card to share.

Details:
Sand Dollar cut from the PPPR "Day at the Beach" cutting files
cardstocks from my stash

In an effort to actually use some of the many cards that I make, this card will be going out with a swap package this summer.  I'll share details later :)

Thanks for stopping by, and have a Great week!

Thank You...

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!

Are you enjoying the start of a long holiday weekend?  I am looking forward to an extra day off to craft and maybe BBQ.

Today I am sharing over at the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog.  I made a Thank You card using one of the cuts from the "Exercise Equipment" cutting files.

You may be wondering if this is for a gym friend or work-out friend, right?  Nope.  I made a couple of these for the team moms of my son's lacrosse team.  The inside reads, "Thanks for keeping things running smoothly!"  Get it? LOL
